The leaves of the olive tree have traditionally been used since ancient times for various potential health benefits such as maintaining healthy blood pressure, cholesterol and blood sugar levels.
Scientific evidence has documented the positive effects of olive leaves on supporting a healthy blood pressure range and cholesterol levels, as well as positive effects on blood sugar levels. Olive leaves have also been studied for their strong antimicrobial and antioxidant properties.
In a clinical trial with borderline hypertensive adult twins, Benolea® intake confirmed the dose-
dependent antihypertensive and cholesterol-lowering effects of Benolea®1 . The study also showed a significant reduction of LDL cholesterol. Benolea® intake had positive effects on blood lipid profiles2 and had a prophylactic effect on the development of high blood pressure and was associated with a beneficial effect on normal blood pressure2-3.
