Chamomile is one of the oldest, most widely used, and well-documented medicinal plants in the world. It has been used for centuries as an anti-inflammatory, antioxidant and mild astringent agent.
The main constituents of chamomile flowers are polyphenol compounds, including apigenin, which is known to have anti-inflammatory properties.
In Europe, according to the Committee on Herbal Medicinal Products (HMPC), preparations of Chamomilla recutita flowers are traditional herbal medicines used for the treatment of symptoms of different conditions, such as minor gastrointestinal complaints.
Chamomile can also be used as a flavoring agent in food and beverages or as an active ingredient in personal care products formulated in creams, mouthwash, and soaps.
Produced in Spain in an NSF GMP certified facility.
